Hello to everyone interested in our shared history! After all, African history is world history. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of people and had intriguing discussions about the too often hidden people and events in American history. Why is it that we rarely, if ever, learn about the contributions of Black, indigenous, women and working class people? Hmmm 🤔. It’s almost as though it’s on purpose ( • ᴗ – ). For anyone wanting to learn more about Black American history and how it ties back to Africa & Europe, I’ve compiled a list of books and original source materials. I’ll continue to add more as I learn more. “Until the lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter.” ~ African proverb.
